Krista Marzewski is a Trauma-Informed, E-RYT 900 hour Registered Yoga Teacher, and a Y12SR Leader. She specializes in Chair Yoga, Somatic practice, and is a Certified Recovery/Life Coach.
With over 38 years of teaching experience, Krista brings her dedication for teaching and self-exploration to her students on and off the mat. She is continually furthering her education, and growing her offerings through classes, events, one-on-one sessions, and recovery coaching.
Krista’s classes offer slow, introspective postures connecting breath to movement, and are always sprinkled with laughter and levity.
We are all at different places in our lives: physically, mentally, spiritually, and financially. That is why:
Krista believes in making yoga accessible for every BODY!
For five out of the six months of her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, Krista's leg was in a cast. Not being able to put any weight on her left foot, she learned from the start how to make yoga ACCESSIBLE for her limitations.
Finding yoga later in life, Krista brings compassion, patience, acceptance, and meets you where you are on your journey.
YOGA was the wind beneath Krista’s sails, enabling her to find the missing pieces in her life. She learned to love herself again, embrace life, and dream. Completing her 200-YTT with Story Yoga, Krista learned to simply: breathe.
As a person in recovery and affected by trauma, yoga taught Krista to reconnect with herself physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Krista is regularly engaged in service projects to keep her classes and yoga practices accessible to everyBODY. She's continually seeking grants and funding so that Chair Yoga can be FREE.
